THE WRONG OBJECT

With their aesthetics still rooted in an array of storied inspirational models, Belgian prog jazz heavyweights The Wrong Object ventures further into hybrid musical territories - pushing the boundaries of progressive jazz, rock and contemporary music. After more than 25 years of an existence marked by extensive touring, recording and numerous collaborations with international jazz and rock luminaries (Elton Dean; Harry Beckett; Annie Whitehead; Alex Maguire; Stanley Jason Zappa; Ed Mann), The Wrong Object has morphed from a quintet to a sextet, while embarking on exciting new sonic destinations.

"Belgian group The Wrong Object are adept at mixing Canterbury styled prog rock with Zappa-esque jazz fusion and Frippertronics to produce a beat that has elements of the past and the future thundering through it. [Their music] cleverly fuses all of these various musical elements together, expertly twisting various world music styles into the mix to produce a varied and unpredictable set of original material. -

THE GÖDEL CODEX
Michel Delville/Antoine Guenet/Etienne Plumer/Laurent Blondiau

Electro-jazz band The Gödel Codex
explores a wide range of musical influences and approaches.   Their original compositions reflect inspirations as varied as Miles Davis, Radiohead, and Robert Wyatt, blending improvisation with carefully crafted structures. The result is a dense and hypnotic music where elements of jazz, post-rock, and electronic textures intertwine.

- Jean-Claude Vantroyen, Le Soir

MACHINE MASS feat. DAVE LIEBMAN
Tony Bianco/Michel Delville/Dave Liebman

Graced by Dave Liebman’s extraordinary phrasing and improvising skills, this new incarnation of MACHINE MASS combines free improvisation with tight rhythmic structures, post-Bitches Brew time signatures with ambient episodes, live electronics and computer loops, spreading across different musical and spiritual realities, both playfully and intensely.

"Machine Mass are fantastic organizers of sound with an incredible ability to manipulate musical layers and structures and create artworks which fascinate and leave listeners breathless. -All About Jazz
Machine Mass explores contemporary MBased-funked up avant jazz rock with real panache. -Jazzwise
Excellent use of software and live performance.  Liebman adds the right amount of jazz stature to make Inti a major new release. -Ken Kubernik

"This is truly a unique musical environment that I recorded with these two wonderful musicians. Shall I use the word 'post'-everything? There's some 'On the Corner' here, some punk rock, some techno stuff. The resulting bouillabaisse is extraordinary and novel: challenging music and definitely cutting edge. Contemporary music with a human touch is what this CD is all about." - Dave LIEBMAN

The internationally-acclaimed power trio returns with their highly-anticipated, second full-length release for Moonjune Records.
Mercy, Pity, Peace & Love is a concept album deriving its inspiration as much from William Blake’s visionary aesthetics (the title is taken from the poet’s "Songs of Innocence and Experience") as from a diversity of 20th-century musical icons -- ranging from Jimi Hendrix, King Crimson, Stevie Wonder and Tortoise, to Igor Stravinsky and Olivier Messiaen. Offering hard-edged, straight-ahead beats, jazzy ballads, and even a cover version of Hendrix’s “Purple Haze” which is bound to set your ears on fire, this album is filled with furious guitars riffs, progressive keyboard extravaganzas, and monstrous, thundering drums. Play it loud!

"The talent on board makes for a song cycle where the unique writing seems queued for each of the band's members. These guys can read each other like maps. douBt has something for ... well, just anybody with itchy ears and an appetite for fetching experimentation"- **** Downbeat

COMICOPERANDO - The Music of Robert Wyatt
Dagmar Krause/Annie Whitehead/Michel Delville/Karen Mantler/John Edwards/Chris Cutler

Comicoperando pays tribute to one of the world's best loved singers and songwriters in jazz and pop history. The line-up is composed of leading musicians, four of which have collaborated with Robert Wyatt in the far and recent past and are devoted to the cause of popular yet challenging ways of redefining progressive jazz. Far from being a mere tribute band, Comicoperando purports to revisit and reinvent Wyatt's repertoire from a wide range of perspectives while remaining rooted in the composer's restlessly inventive and iconoclastic spirit.

"What a great bunch of musicians you've invited to participate in this Comicoperando (great name!) project. I am very honored and grateful. I wish you good luck with it; although with people that good you don't need it! The musicians play WONDERFULLY. It's so great for me: I can't do this live, so imagine how nice it is to for me to hear what people are doing with my material. And these ones are so special to me." - Robert WYATT
